Bauchi APC governorship aspirant, Yakubu dies in Turkish hospital

Dr. Ibrahim Yakubu, former Minister of Police Affairs and President of the All Progressive Conference (APC)in Bauchi  has died.

Checks revealed that the leader of the APC had passed at 4:10 am on Sunday morning at the Turkish hospital in Abuja.

Dr. Lame Ibrahim Yakubu was a former member of the Senate from South Bauchi, the Special Adviser on Drugs and Financial Crimes under President Olusegun Obasanjo’s regime, and the aspiration of the Governor of Bauchi in 2019.

Lame Ibrahim Yakubu was born in 1953 and educated at the University of Ahmedu Belo, the University of Zara, and Ohio, USA. He ran for the 2019 election and lost to former ruler Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar

The late politician, who held the traditional title of Santurakin Bauchi, was the minister of police affairs during the presidency of Umaru Yar’Adua.
